Position Description:

LCG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Drupal Developer to join our Web Support team. This key position will play a critical role in leading the development and maintenance of our web applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and user-friendly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with specific expertise in Acquia Drupal and modern JavaScript frameworks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership:
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of web applications.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and technical direction for the web development team.
  • Stay current with emerging web technologies and trends, recommending and implementing new tools and techniques to enhance development processes.
  • Project Management:
    • Plan and oversee web development projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
    • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.
    • Coordinate tasks and responsibilities among team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  • Development and Deployment:
    • Develop and maintain robust, user-friendly web applications using Acquia Drupal and modern JavaScript frameworks like React and Vue.
    • Implement responsive design principles to ensure seamless performance across various devices.
    • Optimize web applications for speed and scalability.

Requirements: 

  • Extensive experience with Acquia Drupal, including front-end and back-end development.
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React and Vue, with experience in decoupled (headless) development.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in web development and leading technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of web standards, security practices, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and development processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure or AWS.
  • Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) certification.
  • Google Professional Cloud Developer certification.

Compensation and Benefits  

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $155,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
