LIVE AT THE CONCERTGEBOUW '...Welcome live at the Concertgebouw for a Beethoven and Bruckner event. Conductor laureate Bernard Haitink, one of today’s most revered conductors, teams up with the RCO. He was chief conductor of the orchestra from 1963 until 1988. Mr. Haitink is hailed for his Mahler performances, his pioneering recordings of the Shostakovich symphonies, his great affinity with French music, Debussy and Ravel and, last but not least, his life long experience with the symphonies of Anton Bruckner. His first Bruckner cycle dates from the 1960s, performed and recorded at the Concertgebouw. Apart from Amsterdam, he has conducted and recorded Bruckner symphonies in Vienna, Munich and recently in London...' [RNW-host Hans Haffmans]
